[Coverage] 2PM Fanmeet @ IMM Garden Plaza

[Actual Event Date: 3rd December 2010]

Coming all the way from Korea to be part of the Mnet Ultimate Live in Asia Singapore, 2PM also held a fan meet cum autograph session a day before the grand event at the Marina Bay Sands. For the lucky 150 fans who came the earliest, they managed to get a poster from 2PM autographed right on the spot!

Pre-Event
Barricaded zones designated for fans were already filled to the brim by the time I arrived at about 5pm and many had fan boards and gifts on hand which really shows how much they love 2PM, which is no surprise given their charismatic personality, beastly bodies and the ability to produce great songs! A quick interview with one the fans among the first in line revealed that there were already fans queuing even before 2am! Although there were many fan boards around, this (below) fan board really caught my attention with the pretty LED lightings!

 

The Event Begins
As everyone eagerly awaits the arrival of 2PM, songs from their latest EP, "I'll Be Back" was played which kept the atmosphere high!

At long last, the MC came on the stage and announced the arrival of 2PM, followed by a series of cheers from the fans! Each took their turns to introduce themselves. However during Chansung's turn, he started his speech way off pitch and had to clear his throat before apologizing which made the rest of the group burst out in laughter (you can watch this comical moment from the video below).

Proceeding on, the MC started to ask 2PM some questions. Below is a summary of the questions asked during the fan meet (for the full version, do watch the video below):

MC: Ah well done guys, this are the guys from 2PM right? We are going to ask them some questions. Ok, the last time when you guys were here was about 2 years ago?

2PM: *Nods heads*

MC: And now all these girls, all these fans that have come to see you tomorrow at the Mnet Show, do you have any words for them?

Taecyeon: Yea it has been 2 years since we were here and thank you so much for supporting us. We are going to have a fantastic show tomorrow so you guys gotto be there tomorrow ok? Alright..

MC: Ok! Before you guys came here, they (the fans) were asking me to ask you some questions like, “how do you find Singapore women?”.

Junho: I think that you guys are all very beautiful and *Fans Screams* and all of you are such passionate people and I love you all!

MC: So what can they expect from you tomorrow?

Chansung: This is the first time that 2PM is having their performance in Singapore and we are very excited to have our performance here and we have prepared so hard for tomorrow so please look out for it

After which, the members of 2PM proceeded to the table to allow the autograph session to begin. The lucky and patient 150 fans that went up managed to all get their autograph of their favorite member without a hitch and some even did manged to give their favorite member a high 5!

As soon as the autograph session was finished, it was time to say goodbye and the fan meet session was then closed with an impromptu but brilliant short performance with Taecyeon singing the beginning of the track,"I'll Be Back" to the beat-boxing skill of Junsu which wowed the crowd. With that, 2PM left the stage and it was time to go home. For all the fans that manged to get up-close with 2PM, I am sure they will never forget this rare experience!
